Clair Wear Goes Live

Happy Sunday everyone,

Yesterday was the first "live" showing of Clair Wear and it went really well.  My local town, Swarthmore, PA had an event called the Maker's Market and Clair Wear made it's debut appearance.  The day began with rain (during set up) which gradually or actually, rather abruptly, cleared out around 11 AM.  Attendance was sparse, but as the blue skies emerged from behind the clouds, it turned out to be a spectacular day, and people came out to enjoy it!  Thanks for any of you who are on this list, who I may have seen, for coming to say hello and for supporting your local artists.  The leggings, capris, skirts (flared and fitted), dresses and shorts were a big hit!

Love and Light,

Giving Birth

Growing something takes time, patience, and nurturing.  Whether it's a garden, a piece of art, music or a child, you must devote yourself to it if you are to truly give your heart to its' care.  It becomes more and more a part of you, and you of it,  as you share yourself and travel the long road of "becoming" together.  And then, in perfect timing, that "something" is ready--it knows when, it lets YOU know it's time.   And at that point, it makes its way into the world.

I am happy to announce that after almost 3 years, my 7th Album--"Clair Oaks 7" has been born!

May this be a morning of innocent beginning,
When the gift within you slips clear
Of the sticky web of the personal…
A morning when you become a pure vessel
For what wants to ascend from silence…
John O’Donahue
(from p 17 “To Bless the Space Between Us”)

If you are interested in more information about the album read on!

This album is a beautiful collection of Clair's original music, with some English, some Sanskrit lyrics. It includes 2 Leonard Cohen (one of Clair's favorite artists) cover songs as well as a beautiful Rumi poem, set to a lovely melody inspired by beloved kirtan artist, Sean Johnson's Unity. There are a few other surprises as well! Clair is joined by an array of fine musicians and singers: Elijah Tucker, EJ Simpson, Jay Popky, Susan Graves, Michelle Armour, Angela Armour, Akie Bermiss, Greg Glassman, Bob Cozzolino, David Matthew Brown, Ian Boccio, Brenda McMorrow, Benjy Wertheimer, John DeKadt, Emy Berti and more
(see song credits).

"Chanting for me, is a musical shout out to the fact that we are all LOVE, made of LOVE, that LOVE is the answer, whatever the question. If we as humans, could experience the reality of this, how might we change the world we live in... I love to chant as a way to access and celebrate that.   This whole album is a shout out and an expression of that LOVE" - Clair

Update on Fundraising Campaign

Dear Ones,

Our dear Earth's daylight diminishes a bit more each day, as we head towards the Winter Solstice in December.  While we navigate our path with less light, can we allow the darkness to encourage us to focus inside more?  A time to consider, to take stock and ask ourselves if we are fully living the life we wish to live?

This has been quite a busy season for me, still, I have been pondering these questions.  I hope you are doing the same, and I hope that if you find you are not, that you muster the courage and wisdom to adjust your course so that you are truly answering your souls calling,  whatever form that takes.

As we approach the last week of our campaign, I am taking stock and considering if there is more I can do to participate fully in my life.  Can I be more present day to day with my loved ones and with anyone who I come in contact with daily, can I be more present with myself?  Can I stay present amidst all the activity of the campaign and live the knowing that,  all is as it is,  and see the perfection in that?

I am told that the middle of these campaigns do often slow down and then surge in the final week of the campaign.  I am trusting  that this one will follow a similar path (campaign ends November 17)!  With your help - I know it will.

We still have some wonderful thank you gifts for donors and I hope you'll encourage friends and family to possibly join you and  take a (or another) look and maybe even do some holiday shopping on our perks page.

Blessings on your week and thank you again for your donations, for sharing the campaign and for your support.  You. Guys. Rock.

xo, Clair
